Chemically Speaking Where Do I find MSDS information?
When you use any chemicals in your experiment, you must look up the Material Safety Data Sheet:
- Read it.
- Include the appropriate safety precautions in your procedure.
- File the MSDS sheets with your notes and log book.
- Refer to the MSDS source in your bibliography.

- Using GOOGLE.
- type in MSDS: CHEMICAL NAME or COMMON NAME (example: MSDS: Sodium Cloride) and then hit search.
- Using Flinn MSDS.
- Type in the CHEMICAL NAME or COMMON NAME and press the search button.
