For more than 50 years, the Northeast Florida Regional Science and Engineering Fair has provided the opportunity for students from Nassau and Duval counties to showcase their talents and compete for prizes and scholarships. It has been estimated that in those 50 years, over half a million students have participated in the Science Fair process. Hundreds of thousands of area students have continued to state and international competition, making new friends and memories to last a lifetime.

For all students preparation of a science project helps them learn logical approaches to problem solving. Entering that project in competition gives them a chance to measure their success, not against each other, but against the standards of good Science and Engineering. The ability to do thorough research, hypothesize, and create tests for that hypothesis will help every student whatever their eventual career goal. For Students interested in Science and Engineering, participation allows them to develop their interests and skills and meet others with the same interests.
